FAYERWEATHER HALL

GRADUATE SCHOOL of ARCHITECTURE, PLANNING and PRESERVATION

Client : Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation

IDG is the Architect for the renovation of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation in their historic McKim Mead and White location at Fayerweather Hall.

Renovations included 4,100 sf of design studios, flexible classrooms, a student lounge, and gender neutral toilets. In a nod to the building’s history, original mosaic tile corridor floors, oak paneling, and limestone moldings were fully restored to 19th century condition throughout the space.
